How to Master the Current Challenges of E-balancing

Transmitting the Capital Account Development and Considering Different Taxonomy Versions by Means of the Right SAP-add-on

ConsPrep.Tax that supports both taxonomy 5.3 and the capital account development dynamically is one of the first fully-integrated e-balance solutions for SAP offered by ConVista. Now the consultancy and software house publishes the release version 3.01 which means an extensive patch to companies using a SAP-ERP-system.

Lean Transmitting Processes in Spite of Different Taxonomy Versions and the Protection of Sensitive Data

Since the business year 2013 transmitting the tax balance electronically (e-balance) is a necessary requirement towards companies with balance sheet accounting. Even today this is very challenging for these companies in some areas.
In the meantime, the taxonomy version 5.0 – then characterized by exceptions and simplifications – has been revised four times and is going to be replaced by version 5.4 announced by the Federal Ministry of Finance. But currently version 5.3 applies (according to the FMF-writing of 13 June 2014). It is accompanied by additional obligatory information concerning business years beginning after 31 December 2014 that must be indicated.

In doing so, the capital account development to be transmitted for business partnerships is surely particularly relevant. Partly, these indications include very sensitive information that is not necessarily given in the original accounting system. That is why they constitute another challenge for companies with balance sheet accounting which do not want to let the e-balance process get out of hand.

Future-proof with Flexible and Dynamical Reports

“Our software ConsPrep.Tax is an SAP-add-on and serves for easily calculating the e-balance in a structured way and transmitting it. By means of the current release 3.01, we provide our established customers and all users of a SAP-ERP-system with a complete patch which enhances our existing solution by the necessary functionalities for processing the taxonomy version 5.3 and particularly by the therewith connected capital account development”, explains Sascha Rankers, project manager and responsible for this topic at ConVista. ”Especially the diversity of different sources of information concerning the capital account development as well as the necessity of implementing future requirements of the financial administration in a way that they can be adapted induced us to develop a dynamic report. This report can be generated flexibly according to the current taxonomy requirements and makes an intuitive and – if required – a decentral input of necessary information from the own organization possible”, Rankers continues.

The necessary enhancements supplement ConsPrep.Tax which is already used successfully and promptly supply the existing customers with the technical requirements so that they can fully concentrate on the business aspects of the taxonomy version.
